Cinetopia Theaters of Vancouver Washington is pleased to announce it’s affiliation with 4 diamond award winning chef Alan Lake. Chef Lake will oversee the entire food operation throughout the 36,000 square foot complex and was the force behind Los Angeles’ Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas where he earned that distinction.
Chef Lake of Chicago’s East Bank Club in the mid 80’s has since worked in Japan, Zurich, Provence, Toronto and Palm Beach and will be bringing his personal cuisine based on his theory of “Jazzfood” to Vinetopia, the small plate themed restaurant situated in the Cinetopia Theater Complex.
Lake, a lifelong musician and artist as well as a chef coined the term “Jazzfood” in regards to his food because of the similarities he found in the two mediums of Music and Food and explains it as “solid technique based on tasteful improvisational skills”.
“We feel it’s the perfect match of Art and Food” Cinetopia owner Rudyard Coltman stated. “Al brings to the table a lifetime of artistic endeavors that compliment the core ideals of Cinetopia.”
Cinetopia Theaters are the Northwest's Premiere Movie Megaplex facility housing the only High Definition projection system in the region with state of the art Klipsh horn studio designed speaker systems. The combination is unparalleled.
Also featured will be “Vinetopia’s” 100 bottle by the glass wine tasting room featuring the finest wines in the world which will be available in 1 ounce pours. Using technology developed in Italy by Enotech Systems, it allows the customer to interact directly with the wines and will provide the ultimate wine experience. “With the Enotech system, we’re able to offer the finest wines in the world by the glass making it the ultimate wine experience, something no other wine bar in the area can boast” says Coltman.
